Siam Piwat shares game-changing vision for tourism and lifestyle retail, unveiling “NEXTOPIA,” a prototype city of the future, at Retail Asia Summit 2026


Siam Piwat, a leading real estate and retail developer, participated in the Retail Asia Summit 2026, held under the themeSmart & Experience-Ready Retail Thailand 2026: AI, Connected Stores, and Sustainable Growth.” The summit is a key regional forum bringing together retail executives, innovation leaders, and brand builders to exchange perspectives on advancing Thailand’s retail industry through technology, sustainability, and elevated customer experiences.

At the event, Ms. Chanisa Kaewruen, Head of Creative and Innovation at Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., joined a panel discussion titled “Lifestyle & Tourism Retail Boom: Capturing High-Value Consumers Through Experience & Localization” alongside executives from leading organizations, where she shared game-changing strategies for tourism and lifestyle retail, with an emphasis on the importance of high-value consumers in driving global growth. She also highlighted how this vision is reflected in the success of Siam Piwat’s projects, such as ICONSIAM, the iconic landmark on the Chao Phraya River, which has integrated sustainability into its creation of shared value with society and the country and successfully established itself as a must-visit destination for travelers worldwide. Building on this, Siam Piwat is now taking that experience further, enriching every visit while also supporting a high-quality, sustainable way of life through NEXTOPIA, a prototype city of the future at Siam Paragon. Developed under the “Co-creating Communities for a Better World” platform, NEXTOPIA seeks to weave sustainability into everyday life in a tangible way, fusing innovation with meaningful experience design to inspire, foster engagement, and translate every touchpoint into purposeful spending, while seamlessly blending global appeal with local identity to meet the lifestyle needs of visitors from around the world. The session was moderated by Leona Tan, Principal at Kearney.

The Retail Asia Summit 2026 was organized by Retail Asia, a renowned regional retail business publication. The event, held on April 30 at the Amari Bangkok Hotel, was attended by over 150 senior executives and organizational leaders from the Thai and international retail sectors across Asia.
