Siam Piwat and the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI) sign MOU to advance environmental knowledge and sustainable development toward Net Zero 2050


Bangkok (June 29, 2026) – Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., a leading real estate and retail developer, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI) to promote environmental conservation and drive sustainable development. Under this partnership, the two organizations will focus on knowledge development, capacity building, and public awareness campaigns to generate positive impacts for both society and the country, while supporting Siam Piwat’s progress toward its goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 2050.

The signing ceremony took place on June 26, 2026 at NEXTOPIA, Floor 5A, Siam Paragon. The MOU was signed by Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, President of the Thailand Environment Institute, and Ms. Naratipe Ruttapradid, Chief Operating Officer of Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, Chief of NEXTOPIA and Sustainability Advisor to Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., alongside Dr. Niti Yoddumnern, Director of the Administration Division at the Thailand Environment Institute also present at the ceremony.

Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, President of the Thailand Environment Institute, stated, “As a non-governmental organization that has championed environmental action for over 33 years, TEI views this collaboration with Siam Piwat as a major milestone, where we will be able to leverage our academic expertise and in-depth research. We will provide accurate, science-based data on climate change, biodiversity, pollution management, and sustainable development to help businesses and the public understand the realities of these issues, reduce their environmental footprint, and adapt safely. We believe the key to addressing these challenges is advancing the business sector, and we are committed to providing the guidance and capacity-building needed to enable organizations to achieve their net-zero targets (Scopes 1 and 2) by 2050. Given the unavoidable and direct impact of the environmental crisis on everyone’s quality of life, Siam Piwat’s venue serves as an ideal platform to impart academic knowledge, showcase innovation,and host activities and campaigns to inspire the public and businesses to actively participate in environmental conservation and restoration efforts, thereby fostering sustainability for Thai society.”

Under this three-year partnership, both organizations will collaboratively develop knowledge, build capabilities, and promote environmental conservation to achieve sustainable development. Siam Piwat will support and promote public-interest events and serve as a platform for showcasing knowledge and innovation. Additionally, Siam Piwat will promote TEI’s partners and network of entrepreneurs across its shopping malls, retail platforms, and affiliated concept stores.

Meanwhile, the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI) will provide academic support by conducting research and compiling data on key environmental issues related to conservation campaigns, biodiversity, pollution, waste management, and sustainable development. In addition, TEI will co-organize activities designed to promote environmental conservation in order to ensure that this integrated knowledge delivers maximum benefit to the public and the nation.
