Bangkok – June 1, 2025 – Siam Piwat Group, a leading global destination developer, has reaffirmed its commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion by being the sole shopping center group to win the “Pride Value of Business Campaign (Pride Badge)” award at the inaugural Bangkok Pride Awards 2025, organized by Bangkok Pride to recognize organizations and individuals championing the LGBTQIA+ community.
The award honors businesses or brands that have launched outstanding public communication campaigns and championed LGBTQIA+ rights both within their organizations and in the broader society. The award ceremony was presided over by Ms. Jiraporn Sindhuprai, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, with Ms. Saruntorn Asaves, First Executive Vice President – Shopping Center Business, Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., accepting the honor at the Santimaitri Building, Government House.
This accolade underscores Siam Piwat’s position as a widely recognized and steadfast champion of diversity, equality, and inclusion that strives to serve as a platform of opportunity and foster sustainable growth for all.
Siam Piwat has consistently supported LGBTQIA+ activities and the Bangkok Pride Festival over the years and has hosted various events across its shopping centers, including Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, and ICONSIAM. These world-class destinations have attracted significant numbers of both Thai and international visitors, thereby boosting the economy and the tourism sector across all dimensions.
Siam Piwat’s shopping centers have played host to numerous activities that celebrate diversity, equality, and inclusion. In addition to Siam Center, which has been a fashion hub that has supported LGBTQIA+ designers for decades, Paragon Hall has provided the venue for “Marriage Equality Day,” marking the first same-sex marriage registrations in Thailand after it became the first Southeast Asian nation to enact marriage equality law. Furthermore, Siam Paragon hosted the Bangkok Pride Forum, a platform for discussing LGBTQIA+ rights, as well as the inaugural Drag Bangkok Festival in 2024, the first of its kind in Thailand and Asia, which is being held again this year. Furthermore, ICONSIAM is embracing diversity with its “ICONSIAM PRIDE OUT LOUDER 2025” campaign throughout June 2025, which is set to showcase and amplify Thailand’s Pride to the entire world.
The Bangkok Pride Awards honor individuals and organizations that support gender diversity and equality. Comprising a total of 25 awards across 11 categories, the award program aims to be a driving force for an equitable, sustainable society that truly respects human dignity.
