Bangkok, June 4, 2025 – Siam Piwat Group, a leading Thai real estate and retail business developer and the owner and and operator of world-renowned projects such as Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, ICONSIAM, and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, has partnered with the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, along with premier real estate business partners, namely Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC), and Supalai Public Company Limited, to launch the “World Class Destination Development” program. This initiative will create as a platform for knowledge exchange between the academic and business sectors and systematically foster positive impacts on urban economies, quality of life, and environmental sustainability in the long term.
This collaboration marks a significant move to enhance the skills and potential of personnel in the real estate industry and elevate their capabilities to compete on the global stage. Participants will learn from leading Thai and international experts on various topics, covering hospitality and tourism projects, premium residential developments, experiential shopping centers and retail spaces, as well as large-scale mixed-use projects, complemented by on-site visits to world-class case studies. The program will be organized by Chulalongkorn University Design for Society (CU D4S) from July 19 to August 30, 2025.
This program builds upon the success of the 2024 training program, “World Class Shopping Mall Ecosystem Development: Managing Urban and Facility for Sustainable Society of the Future,” which received excellent feedback from participants across the private, public, and academic sectors, particularly for its effective integration of theoretical concepts with real-world case studies. The success of last year’s program underscores strong demand for experience-based learning and has inspired this year’s expanded and more comprehensive “World Class Destination Development” program.
Assistant Professor Sarayut Supsook, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, stated, “As a leading educational institution in architecture, the Faculty of Architecture at Chulalongkorn University is committed to being a ‘Knowledge Connector’ between academia, business, and society to co-design a sustainable future in terms of urban development, economy, and quality of life. Dr. Sittiponn Issarasak, Director of the World Class Destination Development Program, highlighted the real-world learning opportunities across five leading projects and explained the concept behind this exclusive program: “This program is part of Chulalongkorn University’s efforts to drive to the national economic and social development plan by fostering lifelong learning, which is one of its key visions and missions. This program represents a value co-creation process between academia and various professional sectors as well as cross-disciplinary collaboration to develop skills for professionals across various fields, advance academic knowledge, and enhance organizational competitiveness, with the ultimate goal of creating value for the sustainable economic, social, and environmental development of Thailand in the future.”
Dr. Sittiponn Issarasak further elaborated on the key elements of the course content: “Co-developed by diverse stakeholders, the program structure will equip participants with an understanding of business design, strategic direction, development of project design specifications, strategic project management, project management approaches, and physical resource management. Learning will be achieved not only through site visits to a diverse range of locations, including leading shopping malls, offices, residences, hotels, and mega mixed-use projects, but also through project-based learning based on real situations and issues at each stage of the project lifecycle, with all participants contributing and learning through the design thinking process to devise creative and effective solutions.”
The Program Director added, “This course is suitable for professionals from various fields related to architectural project development and management, as well as tourism and service businesses. It is especially beneficial for those seeking career advancement and a more holistic understanding of management. Target participants include project developers, project managers, business developers, architects, building managers, project engineers, and the interested general public. We invite all interested individuals to apply to the World Class Destination Development Program, which will be held from July to August.”

The program runs every Saturday from July 19 to August 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 8 days (64 hours). The training fee is 49,500 THB per person.
