Siam Piwat joins forces with POP MART to open the world’s largest POP MART Global Landmark Store at ICONSIAM



POP MART THAILAND, operated under POP MART INTERNATIONAL, a global leading producer and distributor of art toys, led by Ms. Siriporn Phlaengchanthuek, Country General Manager of POP MART (Thailand), hosted the event POP MART SAWASDEE ICONSIAM, unveils its newest and largest Global Landmark Store - spanning over 760 square meters - on the 7th floor of ICONSIAM, Bangkok. This flagship location seamlessly blends elements of Thai culture, contemporary aesthetics, and playful fantasy into one immersive experience.

As the world’s first Global Landmark Store rooted in Thai-inspired interior design, the space draws on three distinct themes: Water Culture, Traditional Thai Architecture, and Inclusiveness. These are brought to life under the brand’s guiding philosophy, “Light up Passion and Bring Joy.”

The design features fluid curves and circular forms, creating a spatial experience that feels free-flowing, open, and continuously connected. Inspired by the Chao Phraya River - gentle yet powerful - the store evokes a harmonious interplay of light, shadow, and reflection, capturing the richness and unity within Thailand’s cultural diversity.

The event was graced by the presence of Chompoo Araya A. Hargate, Abigail Rangsee Singhpipat, Jeff Worakamon Satur (Jeff Satur), and celebrities and artists. Also in attendance were Mr. Wang Ning, Founder of POP MART; Mr. Justin Moon, COO of POP MART International; Mr. Kenny Wong, artist and creator of Molly; and Ms. Chadatip Chutrakul, CEO of Siam Piwat Group.

This season marks a new design phenomenon on the Chao Phraya River as POP MART brings “POP MART ICONSIAM” to life - ushering in a bold new chapter in global art toy experiences. Positioned at what can only be described as the “Bestination,” this flagship merges the best location with a world-class destination for collectors and fans from across the globe.

Set against the most breathtaking curve of the Chao Phraya - often hailed as The Crown of the River - this new space becomes a global imagination hub, where cutting-edge design seamlessly intertwines with the soul of Thai culture.

This landmark marks a pivotal step in POP MART’s global expansion strategy. Inspired by the timeless flow of the Chao Phraya River - a symbol of life and connection across generations - the design reflects a deep-rooted cultural narrative. But beyond its visual poetry, the space is thoughtfully crafted to resonate with the behaviors and rituals of POP MART fans around the world.

Each zone within the store is designed not just for beauty, but for meaning - transforming the environment into a living dialogue between global fandom and local heritage. The project Global Landmark Store” was brought to life by the same design team behind POP MART’s flagship store in Shanghai, ensuring a level of creative continuity with a distinctly local soul.

WINDOW TO THE FANTASY

For POP MART fans, it’s more than just collecting - it’s about entering a fantastical universe brought to life through beloved characters. Embracing this idea, the entrance to POP MART ICONSIAM is designed as a dramatic portal, stretching two stories high. Inspired by the classic wind-up toy box, the entryway builds a sense of anticipation and wonder, inviting visitors to step into an immersive fantasy realm.

Every design element is rich in detail: vintage-inspired moldings, giant wind-up keys, delicate beaded curtains, and strategically placed Big Figures featuring top characters - all carefully curated to create a sense of theatrical reveal. Taking center stage is a striking figure of CRYBABY, a fan-favorite IP by a Thai artist, reimagined riding an elephant - Thailand’s national symbol - at the highest focal point of the facade.

This grand entrance draws inspiration from the classic art gallery presentation, with materials and finishes that evoke the feeling of stepping into a living exhibition - one where reality blurs with imagination, and every detail plays a part in telling a larger story.

An Iconic Outdoor Experience by the River

Outside, the terrace area features a striking façade - sleek, semi-translucent, and minimal in form - symbolizing the boundary between the real world and the imaginative universe within. This architectural statement sets the stage for one of the store’s key highlights: Molly: Thailand Landmark Store Limited Big Figure, standing over four meters tall.

Inspired by artist Kenny Wong’s travels in Thailand, this special edition sculpture features Molly dressed in a traditional Thai Chakri outfit, riding an elephant - Thailand’s iconic national animal. She stands proudly at the entrance, warmly welcoming visitors, surrounded by other beloved POP MART characters in an open, gallery-like arrangement.

To complete the experience, the riverfront terrace is outfitted with a custom seating area in hues of violet and yellow - echoing the tones of the façade - offering fans a place to relax, unbox their collectibles, and take in a view that exists nowhere else in the world.

SET SAIL

A Journey into Endless Surprise

POP MART’s Global Landmark Store unfolds across two expansive levels, offering an immersive experience that mirrors a whimsical voyage. On the first floor, visitors are greeted by the vibrant MEGA Zone, anchored by stunning sculptural installations of MOLLY and fan-favorite THE MONSTERS - ideal photo spots that instantly draw fans in. This level also houses the ever-popular

blind box zone, where guests can indulge in the thrill of unboxing beloved characters, as well as the playful Pop Bean area.

The design of the first floor is rooted in the idea of joyful anticipation - the excitement of not knowing what you’ll get, but loving the surprise. To capture this, the space is shaped by seamless curves and circular forms, flowing continuously like a river. This design metaphor invites visitors to step aboard an imaginary boat with no clear destination - an open-ended journey into fantasy.

Every material choice reinforces this narrative: the floor, walls, and ceiling surfaces are meticulously crafted to appear as one uninterrupted form. Custom-fabricated in China and assembled in Thailand, each piece contributes to the store’s refined sense of depth and detail. Thai artisans further enhanced the space with intricate, flowing lines that guide the eye through the store, encouraging discovery at every turn.

The spatial layout follows a closed-loop circulation, allowing visitors to explore every zone without retracing their steps. A sweeping spiral staircase and sculptural chandelier extend the design language vertically, using continuous lines to draw attention upward and connect both levels in a fluid, inspiring motion.

RUBIK’S CUBE

Complete the Mission: Curate Your Collection with Purpose

For POP MART fans, collecting is more than a hobby - it’s a mission to complete a set, much like playing a game. On the second floor, visitors become players immersed in a game-like environment. The design draws inspiration from traditional Thai architecture, specifically the iconic spires of Wat Arun, abstracted into geometric, Rubik’s Cube-like forms.

These stacked cubic shapes are arranged in a precise, rhythmic pattern, breathing life and intrigue into the space. Bright dopamine-inspired colors energize the atmosphere, creating a vibrant playground that encourages fans to explore, collect, and complete their mission with joy.

FAIRYTALE

A New Chapter Begins with Every Connection

As the journey unfolds, visitors arrive at a space where new stories are waiting to begin. The thoughtfully designed café zone offers POP MART fans and their beloved characters a relaxed setting to connect and create memories together. Marking the first POP MART Café outside China, this space invites guests to discover fresh narratives in a soothing environment inspired by classic fairy tale wall divisions.

Curved, recessed wall details add depth and a delicate, whimsical charm. Key design elements are closely linked to the brand’s iconic characters (IPs), blending artful aesthetics with immersive storytelling. The color palette balances crisp whites with vibrant dopamine-inspired accents, evoking a fresh yet romantic atmosphere. Muted contrasts enhance the café’s tasteful, gentle ambiance.

The menu is a collaboration between POP MART and GREYHOUND CAFÉ, crafted with care to reflect the stories behind the characters, offering a unique culinary experience that complements the visual journey.

For special occasions, a VIP zone provides an intimate, luxurious retreat. Designed with an enclosure setting, this space features soft luxury tones and classic decorative walls, creating a welcoming

atmosphere for relaxation. The area is enriched by a signature Cotton Berry scent - an aromatic blend inspired by the popular LABUBU Macaron, combining the sweetness of cotton candy and wild berries. This sparkling fragrance, with its gentle pink hues, evokes joyful childhood memories and adds a magical touch to every VIP visit.

Another highlight is the special zone, “HELLO MOON Exhibition” a dedicated showcase of Molly, running from August 5–14, 2025 at Thara Hall, M Floor, ICONSIAM. Molly, the iconic blue-eyed, pouty-lipped girl character created by world-renowned artist Kenny Wong has captured the hearts of fans around the world with her confidence, creativity, and boundless imagination. For the first time ever in Thailand, fans will have the chance to meet Kenny Wong in person and enjoy an exclusive fansign session.

Art, art toys, and contemporary culture are thoughtfully curated in what’s dubbed “The Biggest Happiness and Happening” space. This includes exclusive merchandise such as the Molly Thailand Figure, Labubu Long-tail Boat Figure, Crybaby Tuk Tuk Figure, and the Pop Bean Crybaby Baby Born Series Set (Thailand Limited). The space is also designed to embrace inclusiveness, ensuring a welcoming experience where everyone can feel a true part of the POP MART world.
