Chadatip Chutrakul shares Siam Piwat’s vision for NEXTOPIA as a prototype city of the future and a global destination for sustainability at The Economist’s Sustainability Week Asia 2026

Siam Piwat Group, led by Chadatip Chutrakul, CEO of Siam Piwat Group, along with the executive team, joined the 5th Annual Sustainability Week Asia, organized by The Economist, a world-class media outlet. The delegation was welcomed by Ian Hemming, Managing Director of Events at The Economist Group.

Sustainability Week Asia is a leading international forum bringing together the public and private sectors, investors, and experts across the Asia-Pacific region, where they exchange perspectives and accelerate the achievement of sustainability goals at both organizational and global levels. The event was attended by over 1,000 leaders and businesspeople from various premier organizations.

At the event, Chadatip took the stage to share the vision of Siam Piwat Group as a premier global destination developer and to unveil the revolutionary concept behind NEXTOPIA, the world’s first prototype city of the future. Developed through a powerful ecosystem of leading partners, NEXTOPIA serves as a platform for “Co-creating Communities for a Better World” and demonstrates how sustainability can evolve from a concept into a living experience that is engaging, tangible, measurable, and accessible to everyone in their daily lives. NEXTOPIA is designed as a scalable model that can be studied and applied to retail businesses worldwide. The session was moderated by Charles Ross, Principal of Technology and Society for Asia-Pacific at Economist Impact, on March 25, 2026, at The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok.

As a sandbox for experimenting, exchanging, and scaling ideas that generate real-world positive impact, NEXTOPIA represents a pledge to future generations to protect the planet, rooted in the belief that sustainability requires immediate action today.

Siam Piwat’s participation underscores its role as a game changer and a developer of pioneering world-class prototypes, guided by the Siam Piwat Way, a mission that is systematically integrated into every facet of its business operations as it strives toward its goal of achieving net-zero emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 2050.
