Siam Piwat Joins Forces with WFP to Launch "The Next Bucket: Save Lives & Change Lives," Pledging 100,000 Meals to Drive Sustainable Food Security

BANGKOK, 18 JUNE 2026 – Siam Piwat, a leading developer of global destinations, has announced a strategic partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the world’s largest humanitarian organization. This landmark alliance aims to drive food security and sustainable development across the Asia-Pacific region. This significant collaboration reflects a shared commitment to addressing global challenges—such as conflict, climate change, and natural disasters—that impact the food security and livelihoods of millions. Siam Piwat will leverage its world-class retail platforms, extensive partner network, and global customer base to support WFP’s humanitarian missions and strengthen food security. This initiative aligns with the company’s vision of creating shared value, fostering business growth alongside sustainable social development, and underscoring the power of collaboration between the private sector and international organizations to create a lasting, positive impact for people, society, and the planet.

Under this strategic partnership, Siam Piwat and WFP have launched 'The Next Bucket: Save Lives & Change Lives,' an initiative aiming to deliver 100,000 meals to advance food security and build a sustainable future for vulnerable communities. By mobilizing the collective strength of customers, partners, and stakeholders across all sectors, this collaboration supports WFP’s global mission to save lives, alleviate humanitarian crises, and lay a strong foundation for long-term stability and sustainable development. The first phase of the project will run from June to December 2026.

“Across Asia and the Pacific, over 65 million people are currently facing acute food insecurity. Behind this figure are families affected by conflict, climate-related disasters, economic pressures and displacement,” said Samir Wanmali, WFP Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific. “Addressing these challenges requires collective action, and this partnership with Siam Piwat demonstrates how businesses, communities and individuals can come together to create meaningful impact. By turning awareness into action, we can support vulnerable communities and build a more food-secure future across the region.”

Dr. Veerathai Santiprabhob, Vice Chairman, Siam Piwat Co., Ltd., and Chairman of the WFP's Independent Oversight Advisory Committee, remarked, “Food security is a basic necessity that Thai people often take for granted, as our country produces food far exceeding domestic demand, and our society is deeply rooted in mutual generosity. However, looking at the global landscape, food scarcity crises are escalating in numerous regions, fueled by geopolitical conflicts, economic distress, and global warming.

This collaboration between WFP and Siam Piwat not only raises awareness about the global food crisis but also provides a meaningful opportunity for all of us to extend nourishment to those facing hunger. This is deeply crucial because a world plagued by hunger can never achieve peaceful and sustainable coexistence.”

Chanisa Kaewruen, Siam Piwat's Head of Creative and Innovation, states, “As a developer of global destinations including Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, ICONSIAM, ICS, and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, Siam Piwat has always believed that true business success lies in growing sustainably alongside people and society. Driven by this vision, we empower everyone in our ecosystem—from employees, business partners, and retailers to customers and the general public—to create a positive impact.

This co-creation and collaboration with WFP bridges our combined potential to drive global change. For this initiative to thrive, it requires collective action from all stakeholders. We are particularly grateful for the cooperation of restaurants within our shopping centers, a network we plan to expand in the future. Moreover, customers can easily contribute by enjoying specially curated menus that donate a portion of proceeds to the cause, or by making direct donations through the Taejai platform.”

Siam Piwat hosts a press conference at NEXTOPIA on the fifth floor of Siam Paragon to inaugurate the campaign, which is participated by chef Zetrong - Valasura Na Lampang, the winner of MasterChef Thailand Season 6 and proprietor of Sapparos restaurant; Panicha Satayaprasert from FIKKA; and Artem Viglione of L’Antica Pizzeria Da Michele Bangkok. These three restaurateurs offer insights into the exclusive delicacies they created for the campaign. The proceeds from the sale of these dishes will directly fund the effort. Ada Chirapaisarnkul, the Chief Executive Officer of TaejaiDotCom [https://taejai.com/th], the platform enabling this fundraiser, also participates in the discussion.

Join in the campaign's exclusive menu offerings from Sapparos, FIKKA, and L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele Bangkok at NEXTOPIA, located on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon, to support meaningful change through culinary pursuits. The campaign is further endorsed by prominent restaurants in Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, ICONSIAM, and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, which provide the public with additional opportunities to contribute to this charitable initiative. From now until December 31, 2026, donations can also be made through the fundraising platform Taejai.
