09 JULY 2026 CORPORATE

ICONSIAM, the global landmark on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, continues to champion Thailand's creative industry as a Global Hub of Art & Culture. In collaboration with KHUNPARE COLLECTION, ICONSIAM presents "NEO Land Festival 2026," an art exhibition showcasing painted NEO Art Toy sculptures inspired by the Thai elephant—an enduring symbol of Thailand. Reimagined through the contemporary perspectives of Thai artists from diverse creative disciplines, the exhibition invites visitors to experience a rich tapestry of artistic expression, creativity, and individual identity through uniquely interpreted works of art. NEO Land Festival 2026 is open to the public from today until 31 July 2026 at Walk Way and Arts Way, M Floor, ICONSIAM.
The exhibition brings together 48 original works by 33 accomplished Thai artists, representing a diverse range of artistic styles, including Contemporary Thai Art, Pop Art, Doodle Art, Surrealism, and other forms of contemporary art. Each artist transforms the NEO sculpture into a unique canvas, expressing their personal stories, experiences, beliefs, and imagination through distinctive artistic techniques. The result is a collection of one-of-a-kind original artworks, each reflecting the artist's individual creative vision.
NEO is a three-dimensional artistic canvas whose name signifies "rebirth." It embodies the continual transformation that takes place each time it is placed in the hands of an artist. Rather than being defined by a fixed form or identity, NEO serves as the starting point for limitless imagination—one that can be reinvented time and again through one-of-a-kind creations unlike any other.
More than an elephant-inspired character or an artistic symbol, NEO represents a space of creative freedom, empowering artists to fully express their imagination and artistic potential without constraints. Its three-dimensional surface becomes a dynamic canvas for experimentation and innovation. Every work in the exhibition is meticulously hand-crafted by the participating artists using a wide range of techniques—including oil paint, acrylics, spray paint, paint markers, and permanent markers—transforming each sculpture into a platform for new ideas, boundless artistic interpretation, and original creative expression.
One of the exhibition's standout highlights is Horse of Dawn, a monumental 170-centimetre-tall art toy sculpture by Indy Nine (Chanoknan Khwanmunee). The work explores the human condition in the modern world, where individuals navigate expectations, inner strength, and the pursuit of spiritual peace. At its centre is the symbol of the golden horse, representing freedom, wisdom, and boundless potential. Set against a striking red palette that conveys passion and intensity, the sculpture is delicately adorned with flowers, symbolising the gentleness and compassion that remain hidden within the human spirit.
Another noteworthy work is Flash Space by Ueang Anyakorn Manphonsri, created in the vibrant Doodle Art style. The piece combines automobiles, speed, outer space, and limitless imagination into a dynamic visual composition. Its bold, vivid colours evoke a sense of exhilaration and playful energy while celebrating the courage to think beyond convention and embrace creativity without boundaries.
Also on display is Low Fat by Narongchai Ounjai, a surrealist-inspired work in which the artist strips away NEO's outer surface and decorative patterns to reveal its underlying muscular anatomy and internal structure. Through this approach, the sculpture conveys the idea of a shared foundation that exists beneath humanity's many differences. The title, Low Fat, reflects the artist's characteristic sense of humour, inspired by his own experience with weight loss and fitness at the time, transforming a personal anecdote into a memorable and engaging work of art.
In addition to these highlights, the exhibition features a diverse range of artworks that reflect each artist's unique creative vision. Among them is FLASH SPACE, presented in a distinctive Doodle Art style that blends automobiles, speed, outer space, and boundless imagination. Rendered in vibrant colours, the work conveys a sense of fun while celebrating bold, unconventional thinking. DOODLE FLOW showcases the expressive power of simple yet dynamic lines in the signature Doodle Art style, while Love of the Forest 01: My Sleeping Forest Summer tells the story of nature's revival and regeneration. TAMU's Land explores the concept of a sustainable world powered by clean energy, and Rhythm of Love draws inspiration from Lord Ganesha as the patron deity of art, wisdom, and creativity.
The exhibition also presents a number of other compelling works, including Monster Parade, NEO 2050, Ruby Ganesha, NINJA Ganesha, and Night Dreaming. Each piece reflects the artist's individual perspective, beliefs, cultural influences, and personal experiences through their interpretation of the NEO Art Toy sculpture, resulting in distinctive contemporary artworks with unique artistic identities.
More than simply an art toy exhibition, NEO Land Festival 2026 offers visitors an immersive journey through the imagination and creativity of Thai artists from diverse generations. It provides a unique opportunity to experience contemporary art that seamlessly weaves together culture, beliefs, and imagination, with every artwork telling its own compelling story.
