Chadatip Chutrakul attends “The Spirits of Maritime Crossing 2026” in Venice, Italy, advancing the potential of Thai and ASEAN contemporary art on the world stage


Siam Piwat Group, as a principal sponsor, joined the Bangkok Art Biennale Foundation, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and partners from the public and private sectors at “The Spirits of Maritime Crossing 2026.” Featured as a collateral event of the 61st Venice Biennale, this marks the second consecutive appearance of the exhibition, which showcases works by Southeast Asian artists that explore migration, displacement, and colonial maritime history through a contemporary lens.

The delegation was led by Mr.Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, Founder of Bangkok Art Biennale Foundation, Group Chief Executive Officer of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited (ThaiBev) ; Prof. Dr. Apinan Poshyananda, Chief Executive and Artistic Director of Bangkok Art Biennale and curator of the exhibition; and Ms. Chadatip Chutrakul, Chief Executive Officer of Siam Piwat. They were joined by representatives of the participating artists and distinguished guests from both Italy and Thailand. The exhibition presents more than 30 contemporary works and live performances by 20 artists from across Southeast Asia, spanning painting, sculpture, mixed media, and video installation.

Siam Piwat’s involvement underscores its role as a creative powerhouse, a pioneer driving a comprehensive creative business ecosystem. By providing a platform of opportunity for both Thai and international artists to elevate their work to a global stage, Siam Piwat strives to propel the creative industry forward and establish Thailand as a sustainable global hub for art and culture.
